Those who have the original Orcs Must Die! on Steam will receive a set of ten maps from the original game that have been unlocked in Orcs Must Die! 2 to include co-op mode as well as all-new traps and monsters, developer Robot Entertainment announced today.

The announcement is more than a little timely, because the original Orcs Must Die! just got discounted to 50% off (opens in new tab) during the Steam Summer Sale. It’s well worth picking up too, as it’s one of our favorite games from the past few years and a modern strategy classic (opens in new tab).

Orcs Must Die! 2 will be out soon, so grab a copy of the original and get primed for the release of the undoubtedly fantastic (opens in new tab) sequel. It’s currently set do arrive on July 30 (opens in new tab).
