Mark Webb’s latest tweet from the set of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has teased a famous location from the comic books in the form of Ravencroft Institute For The Criminally Insane.
The institute can be seen as Marvel’s equivalent of Arkham Asylum, and has played host to all manner of Spidey foes, from Carnage to the Jackal.
We can probably take a good guess as to who we’ll find housed there in the sequel, particularly given the reference to “voltage cells” on the direction board. Sounds like the kind of place where Electro might hang, no?

Whether any more famous wrong’uns will be making an appearance remains to be seen, although Paul Giamatti’s Rhino might be another to find himself languishing in a padded cell.
Directed by Webb and co-starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Jamie Foxx, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will open in the UK on 18 April 2014.
