I think we all had a feeling of shock and surprise when the trailer for Super Mario Odyssey (opens in new tab) showed the cartoon plumber entering the real world– well, if you count “New Donk City” as the real world anyway. As strange as it was though, it’s got nothing on a new video from YouTube user CrowbCat.

By using a (disfigured) Mario model in GTA 4, CrowbCat has shown us all what Mario in the real world would actually be like, and it’s horrifying – but hilarious at the same time. Let’s watch:

Yeah, suddenly Nintendo’s version doesn’t seem so weird.
