A Series of Unfortunate Events is coming to Netflix and, if the first trailer is anything to go by, Neil Patrick Harris will creep everyone out with his portrayal of Count Olaf.
The one-minute teaser gives us a hint of what’s to come once the show hits Netflix on January 13: expect adventures galore, weird plans and that big, scary house.
The real star of the trailer, though, is Count Olaf. Characters don’t mess around when it comes describing Count Olaf. He is ‘vile, terrible, a thief, a murderer, a wretch, horrible, and awful’. Sounds like fun.
For the unaware, A Series of Unfortunate Events is based on the Lemony Snicket novel of the same name and sees the three Baudelaire children orphaned and sent to live with Count Olaf, who will do anything in his power to get his hands on the Baudelaire fortune.
Having previously found life as a 2004 movie starring Jim Carrey, A Series of Unfortunate Events is another in the long line of Netflix Originals to hit the streaming service in the past few years.
Starring Neil Patrick Harris, Patrick Warburton and Joan Cusack, all eight episodes from the first season of Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events will be available to stream from January 13, 2017.
