Motion poster lands for Marvels Daredevil series

Marvel’s Cinematic Universe is poised to another character to its ranks in the shape of blind lawyer-turned-do-gooder, Matt Murdock, otherwise known as Daredevil. The crime fighter will star in a new TV series set to arrive exclusively on Netflix.

To celebrate the show’s forthcoming debut, a brand new motion poster has landed online. Check it out below:

In the show, Charlie Cox plays the defense lawyer based in Hell’s Kitchen, New York. As he struggles to deal with the city’s escalating crime problem via legal means, he takes to donning a mask and costume to battle wrongdoers at night.

Previously adapted for the big-screen in 2003, that iteration of Daredevil cast Ben Affleck in the titular role and was met with mixed reaction upon release.

However, this small screen reboot ought to avoid any similar pitfalls; it’s expected to showcase a grittier side to Marvel’s comprehensive universe.

The show is the first of five planned Marvel series developed in collaboration with Netflix. A.K.A. Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage and team-up finale, The Defenders are set to follow.

All 13 episodes of Daredevil will debut on Netflix April 10th.
