The first trailer for Kingdom Hearts 1.5 ReMIX (opens in new tab) has hit the internet. In case you missed our previous news story (opens in new tab), the game is an HD reworking of both the original game and the PS2 version of Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories, itself a remake of the Game Boy Advance spin-off. There’s also a cut-scene compilation from 258/2 Days, just in case the whole ‘Namine’ plotline wasn’t complicated enough for you. Even if you don’t like Kingdom Hearts, you might still be entertained by this trailer as it features Donald Duck and Goofy speaking in Japanese.

The PS2 original still looks sensational and the HD treatment doesn’t seem to have been detrimental in any way. In fact, it’s just made us get excited all over again. We can’t wait to play through the original game for the third time, if only for that bit when Donald gets squashed behind a door. That’s not in this trailer, so it’s something to look forward to in the game.

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 ReMIX is scheduled for release next year on PlayStation 3.
