The Uncharted series has sold over 13 million units globally

Uncharted 3 looks like it’s on its way to be the biggest game in the series yet, putting up impressive sales numbers since it launched last month. In an interview with IndustryGamers, Asad Quizilbash, product marketing manager for Uncharted 3, went into some details about the series’ sales on the whole, and revealed that the Uncharted franchise has shipped over 13 million copies around the world, making it one of the more popular new IPs of this console generation. Man, that money could buy a lot of half-tucked shirts.

And with the PlayStation Vita getting Uncharted: Golden Abyss early next year, that number is set to rise even more sooner than later. Obviously this would mean a sequel can’t be too far away, right? Quizilbash won’t say, commenting “We can’t talk about any future title releases. We will continue to make games that our consumers love experiencing.” Well, we think 13 million sales is proof that the Uncharted games are ones that their consumers “love experiencing,” right? Odds are 13 million people didn’t buy Uncharted games because they hated the experience – that would just be silly.

Now, let’s get back to talking about how badly we want that movie, shall we?
