Rocksteady thanks Batman: Arkham City fans with free Batman Inc costume download

Earlier this month Rocksteady released a paid DLC pack of seven different costume changes for Bats, but that can’t possibly have filled all your alternate Batman needs. For those still left wanting, there’s now one more costume available, and best of all it’s free! The outfit, based on the Batman Inc comic series, is accompanied by two more paid DLC packs, and a helpful cheat code.

The free Batman Inc download is available for 360, PS3 and PC right now, though if the reference confuses you, here’s an explanation we’ll try to keep simple. Following his return from the dead (this is the simple version), Bruce Wayne decided that even if he became Batman again, the world needed more than just him, and decided to franchise the Bat, travelling the globe to train new heroes. His new costume was created for that company and Bruce decided to return to the yellow oval version of the Batman insignia after not using it for years. It’s the most current Bat costume available in Arkham City, all for free.

And if you’ve yet to beat Arkham City but are dying to change Batman’s clothes right now to Batman Inc or any of the other costumes (opens in new tab), Rocksteady went retro by making them unlockable early with a cheat code. As they describe it, “simply press the following combination on the Main Menu screen (after you have selected your save slot): Left, Left, Down, Down, Left, Left, Right, Up, Up, Down.’ After that you can be whatever crazy Bat you want to be whether you’ve seen the credits or not.

For those that like paying for things, Rocksteady also posted a new Challenge Map Pack which includes the previous preorder exclusive Joker’s Carnival and Iceberg Lounge, plus the all new Batcave invisible predator challenge map. And if you’ve yet to get both the Robin (opens in new tab) and Nightwing DLC (opens in new tab), you can now get them together in a slightly cheaper combo pack. It truly is a Bat-Holiday miracle!
