Rainbow Six Siege gets swatted back to December, beta will continue as planned

Rainbow Six Siege (opens in new tab), Ubisoft’s competitive, team-based, eSports-focused twist on the Rainbow Six formula, has been nudged to December 1, a handful of months back from its previously-announced October 13 release date. Fortunately, the September 24 beta will continue as scheduled, though you’ll need to register (opens in new tab) for your chance to participate.

Ubisoft explained (opens in new tab) in a blog post that the game is not quite finely-tuned just yet. “Based on the feedback we’ve received, and based on our own internal tests, we felt there are adjustments and improvements we can make, including improving the co-op experience across all game modes, weapon and gadget balancing, as well as menu and interface navigation,” the team wrote.

If the extra time helps make R6 Siege – a game we already find incredibly fun (opens in new tab) – better, maybe that’s worth it.
