Don’t think of this GTA 5 (opens in new tab) ramp truck as a highway murder machine. Think of it as a free stunt jump generator, giving the commuters of San Andreas a chance to experience the same joy players feel when they launch into the horizon. Until they disappear, anyway – GTA 5 will only tolerate bizarre physics up to a certain point for non-players.

YouTuber BlackSmoke Billy, who also invented the sport of GTA 5 truck tricking (opens in new tab), keeps exploring the uncanny consequences of ever-wider ramps throughout the video. Though I have to say I’m partial to the precision and launch velocity of the first one – just imagine driving along the highway, glancing down to check your texts, and looking up a few seconds later only to realize you’ve reached low Earth orbit.
