Driveclub PS Plus edition still coming, Lamborghini expansion detailed

We all know what Driveclub (opens in new tab) really needs to get past those post-launch doldrums: Lamborghinis. Thankfully, you won’t have to wait too much longer to try out a quartet of the Italian supercar manufacturer’s finest offerings in virtual form… what? Why are you making that face?

Ok ok, the indefinitely delayed PS Plus version is probably a bit more of an issue right now, particularly since PlayStation UK’s boss seemed a bit ambivalent about its prospects in a recent interview (opens in new tab). Thankfully, there’s a promising (if minor) development there, too: Evolution Studios said on Facebook (opens in new tab) that it’s still working on it.

“We continue to work on the servers needed for the PS+ Edition to release it ASAP,” the studio wrote. “While we do, the teams not able to support the online work are adding new cars, tracks, events and improvements for everybody already playing the game.”

If you remember, the PS Plus version fell by the wayside when online issues kept owners of the full game from being able to play. Now those issues are sorted out, but we’re still waiting on the free version (which was promoted as one of PS Plus’ selling points on PS4). We’re still waiting, but at least we know Evolution hasn’t given up the ghost.

Anyway, back to those Lamborghinis: the DLC pack will introduce the Veneno, Aventador LP 720-4 50° Anniversario, Huracán LP 610-4, and Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse to the game. You can try them out in a new tour complete with five new PSN trophies.

The Lamobrghini expansion will be available on its own or as part of the season pass.
