Spider-Man makes his MCU debut in new Captain America: Civil War trailer

The new Captain America: Civil War (opens in new tab) trailer is here, and as was rumored, it features the first look at Disney’s big-screen version of Spider-Man. And since I know you can’t wait to see your friendly neighborhood webhead in the flesh, I’mma go ahead and get out of your way so you can enjoy the new trailer – be sure to wait til the end!

I know it’s not much, but I’m still giddy over this. The costume looks less fancy than either of Spider-Man’s previous film incarnations, but reminds me a lot of his first appearance in Amazing Fantasy #15. I also appreciate that Tony is giving him a little bit of guff for his costume, calling him “Underoos.”

Oh, and all the stuff before he showed up was pretty cool too.

Directed by Joe Russo and Anthony Russo, and starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey, Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chadwick Boseman, Tom Holland, Anthony Mackie, and Sebastian Stan, Captain America: Civil War opens in UK cinemas on April 29, 2016 and May 6, 2016 in the US.
