Remember that that really great Arkham City trailer from Comic-Con (opens in new tab)? You may have been too distracted by the shocking appearance of Solomon Grundy, but something that%26rsquo;s both surprising and predictable was happening right before your ears. The Penguin in that video is voiced by none other than the inexhaustible Nolan North, most famous for portraying Nathan Drake, but also appears in approximately one of every three games. Just listen here and see if you can tell it%26rsquo;s him…
Above: Roughly five percent of the characters Nolan played in the last two years
Some rumors swirled that the Penguin was Nolan after the trailer appeared (you can hear more of Penguin in thisviral interview tape (opens in new tab)), and today the developers confirmed it to CVG (opens in new tab). To be honest, we%26rsquo;d have been more astonished if North wasn%26rsquo;t involved in the game, though it%26rsquo;s nice to see him playing something other than the roguish hero. Already this year North was in Portal 2, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, SOCOM 4, and Marvel vs Capcom 3, with appearances later in Uncharted 3 and Assassin%26rsquo;s Creed Revelations. We wouldn%26rsquo;t put it past him to have recorded dialogue for Battlefield 3, Modern Warfare 3, and Skyrim as well. If he weren%26rsquo;t so good at his job we%26rsquo;d be sick of it by now, but casting directors for games know there are other actors out there, right?
